"The Punching Guide is great! Footwork, punching combos and T shift drill are worth the effort. I skipped over the sidestepping exercises until later, when I realized how ackwardly I was moving. I went back and started over with the punching build up combos, both sides, with random footwork and the T-shift drill. Makes a big difference!
Like most guides, this one requires work and a good deal of commitment; but, it is worth it. Add a heavy bag and a speed bag and you have a powerful solo training system; or, if you have the resorces and time, a partner or coach with focus mitts.
This guide is well worth the effort!

"I would absolutely recommend the Power Punching Guide to anyone interested in learning proper punching skills. I started training in martial arts almost 20 years ago, but I've never had any formal boxing training. So, I started looking in bookstores and the internet. That's when I found the Power Punching Guide.
I immediately bought it and loved it. I really liked the simple, straight foward approach to the techniques and training. The things not included in the book that I would have liked to have see were heavy bag and focus mit training, which you have already taken care of. I would also like to see something in the future more in depth about footwork possibly. Other than that, It was perfect. Thank you very much for giving me access to your knowledge.

"I enjoyed the Power Punching Guide and have referred to it many times. It answered many of my questions regarding punching, standing and footwork; I can't wait to read the new ones. I have wanted a routine for the heavy bag.

particularly with respect to safe body-mechanics and the precautions the student needs to take when beginning to practice regularly .

Hi Randy, I just wanted to drop you a line to tell you how much I enjoyed your book.
I found it very informative and can't put it down. The Power Punching Guide is
very well written and easy to understand. I have been training with some martial
arts and self defense. I'm a marine patrol officer and have been working on my
defensive tactics and know your book will help in my training. Thanks...

"I found the guide to be practical. It helped me to polish my street fighting skills. I worked as a cooler/bouncer for 10 years and was involved in hundreds of altercations. I wish that Toughen Up was around when I first started my career.

"This book clearly explained strikes and footwork in such a manner that I could easily understand those concepts in relation to my training. The explanation of the combination moves took me gently from the simple into the more complex."

"There are quite a number of folks on the web offering fitness guides, in general, and boxing/MMA guides, in particular. Very few are worth very much. They are frequently not well thought-out, light on details and graphics, and seldom bring all the elements together into specific work out schedules. Randy's "Guide to Power Punching" is one of the few that really does deliver. I recommend it highly."

"It was a great guide, still is. Not only did it give lots of information and great tips, but it also described the mechanics and dynamics of punching. Well worth the money spent. Thanks for the opportunity to strengthen my punching skills. -brandon

"Hi Randy,
I have greatly appreciated your guide. I have been boxing on amateur and a few trials at pro matches in my yournger years. Today I am boxing on the "old boys" team in Hillerod Boxing Club and training kids and adults on the physical side. The guide has delivered the promise - my heavy bag training has become much more varied and as my sparring partners have appreciated a little less - my punches have become harder and before all more precise. Best regards, Kim.

"I liked the Power Punching Guide because it cuts through all of the myths that a lot of martial arts have. This guide gives a person a way to get fit and obtain real self defense skills while working out in there own home. I have had a good amount of martial arts training in the past, but I have always felt that the ability to hit fast and hard is more important to winning a real fight than any technique."

"I downloaded your manuals a few months ago and have not looked back since.
Invaluable stuff. I was trying to walk before I could crawl, but your guides
made me realise that I had to get 'back to basics'. The results were very
pleasing, and I thank you.
